![]() ![]() “The claim of voter suppression has the same level of truth as the claims of voter fraud in the last election,” he said. Raffensperger’s chief operating officer, Gabriel Sterling, echoed the assessment. “Democrats and national media outlets asserting that Georgia’s election reform will ‘restrict access’ to voting are just partisan talking points, not facts,” Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a frequent target of former president Donald Trump, said in a statement. The Post’s fact-checking “about” page notes that “Four Pinocchios” are reserved for claims that are “Whoppers.”īiden’s characterizations have also drawn pushback from Georgia’s top election officials. Fact check:Photo of Olivia Rodrigo at White House press briefing altered to add Joe Biden USA TODAY reached out to the Facebook user for comment. “Somehow Biden managed to turn that expansion into a restriction aimed at working people, calling it ‘among the outrageous parts’ of the law.” Not a single expert we consulted who has studied the law understood why Biden made this claim, as this was the section of law that expanded early voting for many Georgians,” the Post stated. But then this same claim popped up in an official presidential statement. “One could understand a flub in a news conference. The law also added an additional Saturday of mandatory early voting, as well as two optional Sundays. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had already addressed the shooting as the first order of business in a White House press conference. That designation is only the minimum, however, as the law also allows for counties to operate voting booths anywhere between 7 a.m. Fact check: Bidens gaffe about ice cream and Nashville. As the Post noted, “any listeners might assume he was talking about voting on Election Day, not early voting.”Ī Georgia election official told the paper that the change was due to the fact that some rural election officials only work part-time, with the new law now forcing them to be open for at least eight hours on weekdays. MIT election expert Charles Stewart III, who studied the law’s language for the paper, found that “it indicated an expansion of hours, especially in rural counties.”Īs for early voting, the law specifically mentions that voting sites are required to open “beginning at 9:00 a.m.and ending at 5:00 p.m.” The specification, however, does not fit Biden’s characterization. “xperts say the net effect was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them,” the Post reported. But the law makes no change to Georgia’s Election Day voting hours, which run from 7 a.m.

They aren’t common, however, because gasoline fueling stations are costly to set up and maintain. Gasoline forklifts are similar to diesel but generally perform better in terms of speed, power and emissions. The disadvantage of CNG forklifts is that CNG fueling stations are large and expensive to set up and maintain, and require special permitting. Their fuel tanks stay attached, so workers don’t have to lug them around. This makes them versatile enough for both indoor and outdoor use.ĬNG forklifts are similar to LP forklifts but with a few differences. They’re much quieter and less noxious than diesel forklifts, and they’re better in rain and on rough terrain than electric forklifts. Propane powered engines strike a middle ground between the electric and diesel engine. Compared to electric forklifts, diesel models have a lot more fluids and moving parts to maintain. For all these reasons they’re used mostly outdoors. On the downside, they emit a lot of noise and toxic fumes. They can handle a lot of accessories, including hydraulics. The battery takes many hours to recharge, so busy operators buy an extra battery to swap out.ĭiesel forklifts are tough and strong. They’re powered by a large battery which weighs it down but also gives it a stable center of gravity. For all these reasons they’re used primarily indoors. They’re not great in rain, snow, or on rough terrain. They’re not as powerful as diesel engines but they're very quiet, emission-free, and very easy to maneuver. Most forklift sales these days are of electric forklifts. Here’s an overview of these five forklift engine types and their common application. ![]() They can be separated into two main categories: electric engine and IC (internal combustion) engine, but the IC category is further divided into four main types of IC engine - diesel, LP gas / propane, CNG (compressed natural gas), and gasoline engine. ![]() ![]() Forklifts are classified according to their function (order pickers, reach trucks, etc) but also in terms of the kind of engines they have. If you’re in the market for a forklift, it’s a good idea to become familiar with the main types of forklift and what they’re used for. This makes them a bit smaller than their close relatives. The average Green Neon Tetra size is around one inch in length when fully grown. There’s something about having a bunch of them together that really makes the green stand out! Size We find that it’s usually easiest to identify Green Neon Tetras when they’re in a shoal (which they prefer to be). Some of these fish can have more of a red patch than others, making them even harder to distinguish in a direct comparison. This combination makes the green coloration the most dominant and gives them their name. To go along with it, the blueish-green area on their bodies is much more vibrant and generally brighter. While it is present, it’s a lot less visible (sometimes barely noticeable at all). The difference when it comes to color is when you begin to look at the red. Their body shape and primary blueish-green coloring are almost exactly the same!Īt first glance it can be hard to tell the difference between these fish and their more popular relatives This is the reason why these fish are misidentified so regularly.įrom a distance or at first glance, they look a lot like the Cardinal Tetra or basic Neon Tetra. The appearance of the Green Neon Tetra is something that throws many people off. If you neglect them, the opposite is true. A good diet, suitable tank setup, and well-maintained water will all help them live longer. Like any fish, the lifespan of a Green Neon Tetra can be easily swayed by its quality of life. This is shorter than their more popular counterparts. ![]() The lifespan of Green Neon Tetras is around 2 to 3 years. Tributaries with a sandy substrate are a common hotspot for the Green Neon Tetra. This means the water they’re used to is fairly acidic and doesn’t get a ton of light (more on this later). They tend to prefer mellow blackwater areas that have large trees, vegetation, or debris nearby. The Negro and Orinoco Rivers are the most popular bodies of water where you’ll find them, but they have been known to journey out a bit from time to time. In the wild, you can find these fish primarily in the Amazon river basin in South America. It’s also why we’re hesitant to say that there’s one clear “winner” when it comes to the popular tetra species. This becomes clear when comparing diets or general temperament. While there are some physical differences we’ll dig into a bit further down, there are also a lot of similarities. Another common name for them is the False Neon Tetra because of this common misidentification. ![]() ![]() The Green Neon Tetra ( Paracheirodon simulans) is a fish that often gets confused with its more popular relatives.
